Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd was awarded the Agriculture Leadership Award 2009 in recognition of its role of "pioneers of micro-irrigation concept in India"

The citation elucidates the contribution made by the company in introducing the micro irrigation technology by making complete range of products available to the farmers, committing huge resources for disseminating the technology among the masses, and helping the governments to shape their policies toward micro irrigation. It also recognized the company’s unique approach of integrating with the entire agriculture value chain to facilitate scientific & precision farming and overall agricultural development.
