Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd. has bagged large orders worth Rs. 158 crores (Rs.1580 million) from various Coca-Cola bottlers in India and overseas for supply of mango pulp for the 2009-2010 seasons. JISL has developed hi-tech cultivation methods for Mangos - Ultra High Density Plantation (UHDP)
Jain irrigation started large scale mango plantations during 1996 we did not follow conventional planting distance of 10m x 10m; instead we adopted 4.5m x 4.5m, which is considered as medium density plantation (MDP). Results of MDP were remarkable and the orchard could start commercial production in the fourth year itself and later on yields were better than those from the conventional besides several other advantages. Mumbai : India’s biggest micro irrigation company and agriculture conglomerate has bagged order for prestigious Balh Valley Medium Irrigation Project in Himachal Pradesh. The department of Irrigation and Public Health has selected the company through Global Competitive Bidding. This integrated project involves survey, investigation, planning, designing, supply and execution. The project is a part of Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) in Balh Valley, Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. The total value of the project is Rs 651.1 Million. Read More

NABARDs Initiative in Public Private Partnership for Integrated Rural Development
Mumbai : National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has entered into a MoU with Jalgoan, Maharashtra based agro – irrigation major Jain irrigation Systems Ltd. (JISL). This is for NABARD’s ‘Village Development Plan’ (VDP) and implementation of Natural Resource Management and Dry Land Agriculture. This will ensure availability of water not only for agriculture but also for drinking water supply to villages. Initially the project will be implemented in 75 villages spread over all the districts of Maharashtra with active participation of NGOs. Read More
