Dena Bank, one of the premier banks of India, has entered into a national level tie–up with Jain Irrigation Systems Limited, engaged in manufacturing and selling of micro irrigation systems, controlled climate green & poly houses, piping systems, solar pumps and tissue culture plants. The tie–up will help farmers increase their acreage under irrigation by minimum use of available water resources. Jain Irrigation will assist the bank in identifying eligible farmers with a requirement for micro irrigation systems, crop management services etc. It is expected that a large number of farmers will be financed through this tie–up in the coming months as use of water saving methods like drip and sprinkler irrigation method, is being encouraged by various state governments.
Mr Manoj Lodha–President (Finance) and Mr Rajiv Deshmukh–Senior Vice President (Banking and Finance) of Jain Irrigation have exchanged the Memorandum of Understanding on 7th March 2014 with Mr CS Meena, GM–Dena Bank and Ms Jaya Chakraborty, Deputy GM–Dena Bank in the head office of Dena Bank at BKC, Bandra (E) Mumbai–51.
